Happy Birthday Mom

My mom's 70th birthday I decorated these two cakes.  She has diabetes so I made one with cottage cheese frosting.  My mom loved sewing as I was growing up so I came up with this cake that reminded me of her.

Skate-Chic

This cake was for one of my best friends daughters birthday.  The little skateboards, skull and bow were fun and given much detail.

Camping Romance

I built this cake for a friend, who asked me to build a cake for his mom's birthday.  The feet were so fun to mold.  The majority of this cake is done with fondant instead of frosting.  This cake is also 100 % editable :)

Anthropology Graduate

My friend Selete graduated from WSU in Anthropology.  I made her this cake.  The only parts not editable is the blue part of the book that reads Anthropology and the mexican emblem on the flag under the cakes.  But the cap is 100 % editable.

80's Birthday Party

I made these two cakes for a joint birthday party of two of my friends and me.  The party was a dress up themed 80's party.  The rubics cube started to fall as I finished it and I caught it mid air, so this is why a corner is smashed.

Bustier

This cake was fun.  I spent most of my time trying to get the right mixture of colors to make the flesh color on top.

Wedding Cake & Grooms Cake

My friends sister was getting married when I moved back to Utah.  She asked me to make her cake....  It was pretty difficult because we were living in a little apartment when we first moved back and many of my decorating tools were packed up.  But I found them.  I really enjoyed making these two cakes.

Bucket O Beer

I made this one with fondant for the wood planks.  Again 100 % editable.  Not to bad for skipping the the fondant class.  This was for a friend that had just turned 21, and was legal to drink.  That is a real beer embedded in the cake.

Good Year Birthday Cake

I made this cake for my friend Kirks Birthday.  He is a car fanatic and I thought it was fitting.  The frosting was chocolate frosting with black color added to it.  The chocolate helped reduce the amount of color so it wouldn't taste that funky food coloring taste.

Flowers, Lady Bugs, and Butterfly's in a weaved basket cake.

This was my 3rd class I took.  The flowers were fun to make and the weave took forever.  I was pretty impressed how it turned out. All Edible.

Decorating Class 1

For my first cake I made a rainbow with clouds.

First attempt at decorating cakes

I made these two cakes for one of my closest friends sons 2nd birthday in 2007.  I enjoyed it so much I decided to take classes.
